Botox 50 Units is Allergan's type A botulinum toxin (onabotulinumtoxinA), now part of AbbVie, made by Allergan Pharmaceuticals Ireland in Ireland, 50 Units per vial.
Units describe the potency of the product, while millilitres describe volume, so the powder in the vial is not ready to inject. The doctor decides how it is prepared and used, and how many vials are needed depends on the doctor's plan.
The product label states that units are not interchangeable from one botulinum toxin product to another, so the Unit number is not a conversion between brands.
Mention any reaction to toxin products or their ingredients, which include human albumin and sodium chloride, plus nerve or muscle conditions and infection at the proposed site. Also share your medicines, supplements, pregnancy or breastfeeding status and earlier injections.
The doctor decides whether to proceed, wait or investigate further. A new clinic or a change in health calls for a fresh assessment rather than reliance on an earlier plan.
The doctor prepares and injects Botox following the product's own instructions. The brand's official site says a licensed provider carries out the assessment and marks the injection areas. Buyers should not mix it themselves.
Ask about possible pain, swelling, bruising and muscle weakness, and how to reach the clinic afterwards. Trouble swallowing or breathing needs medical attention immediately.
Botox is the trade name of a type A botulinum toxin from Clostridium botulinum; a dermatology reference describes it as an injectable muscle relaxant given by a doctor. The doctor assesses whether it suits you.
Ask the injecting doctor how progress will be assessed and when to return for review. Another person's experience is not a schedule for your own treatment; the doctor treating you sets the plan.
That rests on the doctor's assessment, your health history and the treatment plan. Compare manufacturer, strength, form and the documents of the actual product. Botox is Allergan's brand, and unit numbers of different brands cannot be swapped for one another.
Botox is a type A botulinum toxin, an injectable muscle relaxant. Fillers are a different kind of product. Ask the doctor to explain how they differ and which suits your area and goal.
Look for a clinic where a licensed doctor performs the injection, and ask how follow-up works and how to reach the clinic after treatment before you decide.
The price depends on the model and the quantity.
