What is Nabota 100 Units?

Nabota is a botulinum toxin type A made by Daewoong Pharmaceutical in South Korea, supplied as a dried powder to be prepared into a solution, in 100 and 200 Unit strengths with one vial per box.

In short

  • It comes in a Thai-label version and a Korean-import version. The 100 Unit product lists human albumin and sodium chloride as excipients and is stored in a refrigerator at 2–8 °C; for the 200 Unit strength, read the storage directions supplied on the carton and vial.
  • A licensed doctor checks, prepares and administers it, assessing the person and setting the plan individually.

What Units on a Nabota vial mean

Units describe the labelled potency, not a liquid volume or a number of treatments. The powder is prepared by the doctor following the instructions for the actual product; the vial strength is not a recipe for mixing or self-injection.

A shared active ingredient does not establish identical formulations, potency units or instructions across brands, so unit figures should not be compared between brands to assume equal results.

What to tell the doctor, and symptoms to watch for

Tell the doctor about allergies to medicines or ingredients, medical conditions, pregnancy or breastfeeding, current medicines and previous toxin treatments. If you had an unusual reaction to an earlier injection, give the brand, the area treated and the symptoms. Do not choose a strength or change product on the basis of another person's treatment.

Injections can cause pain, swelling, bruising and other adverse effects. Ask what to watch for and how to contact the clinic afterwards. Difficulty swallowing or breathing, or unusual weakness, needs immediate medical attention; tell the clinician which product was used.

Frequently asked questions

What is botox, and how is it different from Botox?

In Thai, botox is the common word for botulinum toxin type A products. Botox is also the trade name of one brand, and Nabota is another brand in the same group. Read the full product name on the carton and the vial.

Is Nabota good?

It differs from person to person. A doctor assesses your health history, precautions and the plan you want, and you should ask about brand, strength and follow-up, mentioning current medicines and earlier injections.

How does Nabota differ from Neuronox?

Their makers differ: Nabota is made by Daewoong Pharmaceutical and Neuronox by Medytox. Both are South Korean type A toxin brands. Read the formulation and potency on each label; the doctor selects the product, and this is not a ranking of brands.

How soon does Nabota work, and how long does it last?

The injecting doctor explains what to expect and the follow-up plan after assessing you. The 100 or 200 Unit figure is the potency of the vial, not a duration. Contact the treating clinic if an unusual symptom develops after the procedure.

How much is Nabota?

The price depends on the model and the quantity.
