What is Neobella Fat Dissolver?

Neobella Fat Dissolver is a meso-fat solution from South Korea (Neogenesis). This is the Thai-label listing, in 8 ml vials, 5 vials per box.

In short

  • The ingredients are deoxycholic acid 5% with L-carnitine HCl and glycerin.
  • The deoxycholic acid injection approved by the US FDA is Kybella, a different product from Neobella. The strength and formula belong to each product, so information on one should not be applied to the other.
  • It is injected into the fat under the skin by a licensed doctor only. Buyers should not mix or inject it themselves.

Neobella according to the Neogenesis brochure

The product brochure from Neogenesis of Seoul calls Neobella a localised fat-reduction product for the face and body, given by mesotherapy injection or with a mesoroller.

The right area has to be assessed by a doctor from each person's body and health.

Risks, and what to discuss with the doctor

The label of Kybella, which has deoxycholic acid as its active ingredient and is approved by the US FDA for fat under the chin, lists active infection at the injection site as a contraindication. It warns of injury to the marginal mandibular nerve, which can cause an uneven smile or facial muscle weakness, and of difficulty swallowing.

The common adverse reactions on the Kybella label are swelling at the injection site, hematoma, pain, numbness, redness and hardening of the skin. That is a different product with the same active ingredient, so this is information about the ingredient only.

DermNet lists reported side effects of mesotherapy, including allergic reaction to the injected solution, skin infection, bruising, and ulceration or scarring. Tell the doctor about medical conditions, medicines, supplements, allergies, pregnancy or breast-feeding and earlier procedures in the same area, and ask how to reach the clinic if anything unusual happens.

Frequently asked questions

What is deoxycholic acid?

Wikipedia describes it as a secondary bile acid formed when gut bacteria act on cholic acid. The body uses it to emulsify fat in the intestine.

What is L-carnitine?

L-carnitine is the active form of carnitine in people. It carries long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondria to be burned for energy. The body makes it, and most of it sits in skeletal muscle.

What is meso fat?

Meso fat is a name for injecting a solution into the fat under the skin. DermNet describes mesotherapy as injecting substances through a very fine needle beneath the dermis into the subcutaneous fat. The solutions differ between brands.

How many cc is one vial of Neobella Fat?

Each vial is 8 ml, or 8 cc, and a box holds 5 vials, 40 ml in all. That is the pack size, not the amount used per session.

Is Neobella Fat any good?

Have a doctor assess the area, your health and the ingredients on the label, and ask what side effects can occur before you decide. Do not compare it with the results of other products.

How much is Neobella Fat Dissolver?

The price depends on the model and the quantity.
