Belotero Revive is a cross-linked hyaluronic acid gel with glycerol, made by Anteis SA of Merz Aesthetics in Switzerland, in a single-use pre-filled glass syringe.
The maker classes it as an injectable resorbable implant. The gel is sterile, clear and colourless, and is made by Anteis SA in Plan-les-Ouates, Switzerland.
Anteis lists Revive among its hyaluronic acid gels for skin quality. The maker states it is for facial skin showing early-onset photodamage.
The maker states it must be injected by an authorised healthcare provider who has the training and experience and who knows the anatomy at the injection site. A buyer should never inject it themselves.
How much is used and how it is injected are decided by the doctor for each person. The doctor assesses suitability and explains the plan at the consultation.
The maker's instructions list these contraindications: known allergy to a component of the product, pregnancy and breast-feeding, age under 18, a general infection, and active autoimmune disease.
It must not be injected into blood vessels, into skin that is inflamed or infected, or into an area treated before with a permanent filler, and it is not injected in the glabellar or nose region.
Injection-site reactions such as swelling, redness, bruising, pain and itching are usually mild or moderate and clear within a few days. The maker also lists rare but serious adverse events, such as vascular occlusion.
A substance a doctor injects into the skin. Belotero Revive is a hyaluronic acid gel that the body breaks down over time; the maker calls it an injectable resorbable implant.
Belotero is one brand that Anteis SA makes in several lines, such as Soft, Balance, Intense, Volume and Lips, each with its own instructions for use. Revive is the line with glycerol. The injecting doctor chooses the line.
Every filler carries risks, which is why only a licensed healthcare provider should inject it. The doctor explains the risks before treatment.
The maker says 2–25 °C, protected from light and freezing, and away from mechanical shocks.
The price depends on the model and the quantity.
