e.p.t.q (EPTQ, Epitique) is a cross-linked hyaluronic acid filler with lidocaine from Jetema of South Korea, in a 1.1 ml pre-filled syringe.
The maker says e.p.t.q. uses 2CM Technology, which reduces the amount of BDDE used in cross-linking and keeps the modification degree (MoD) at about 1%, according to Jetema's product page.
The box prints "HYALURONIC ACID FILLER", "1.1ml" and a round seal "EPITIQUE IX THE 9th GENERATION". S100 has a green band, S300 an orange band and S500 a dark blue band.
Details of use for each model are in the leaflet inside the box. The doctor chooses the model.
Jetema Co., Ltd. (제테마) has its office in Wonju, Gangwon Province, South Korea. The brand's Korean name is "에피티크" (Epitique), and the maker's product page says it is sold in about 60 countries.
The US FDA's advice is that filler injection belongs with a licensed, experienced provider trained in it, and is not something to do to yourself.
The US FDA sorts the effects of filler into three tiers. Common: bruising, redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, itching and rash. Less common: lumps under the skin, infection and allergy. Very rare but serious: injection into a blood vessel, which can lead to tissue death, vision problems or stroke.
Give the doctor the whole picture before injection: inflamed or infected skin, a bleeding disorder, severe allergy, a tendency to raised scars, pregnancy or breastfeeding, your allergy history, medicines you currently use and earlier injections. The doctor considers each person separately.
The product contains lidocaine, so tell the doctor about any earlier allergy to local anaesthetics or other ingredients.
Unusual pain, a change in eyesight, or skin at the injection site turning pale, grey or bluish are signs to see a doctor immediately.
In this kind of filler the HA is chemically bonded into a gel; HA (hyaluronic acid) is a substance found in the body. The Polymers (2024) review explains that production starts with microbial fermentation and ends with cross-linking so the gel stands up to enzymes. For e.p.t.q the maker applies its 2CM Technology at the cross-linking stage.
e.p.t.q from Jetema comes in S100, S300 and S500, but whether it is good cannot be answered for everyone: the injecting doctor judges that from each person's health history and goals.
e.p.t.q carries the same kinds of risk that the US FDA describes for other HA fillers. Your own risk is assessed by the doctor before injection.
One syringe holds 1.1 ml (cc), as printed on the box and the maker's product page. The amount used is decided by the injecting doctor for each case.
Some HA fillers are slowly absorbed by the body, as the US FDA notes. For e.p.t.q the actual duration varies with the area injected, the doctor's technique and the person, and the injecting doctor can answer for a specific case.
The price depends on the model and the quantity.
