What is Elasty?

Elasty Filler is a cross-linked hyaluronic acid filler of the Elasty brand, made by Dongbang Medical of South Korea, a gel in a 1.1 mL pre-filled syringe.

In short

  • The boxes come in models F, D and G, one syringe per box, in an imported version and a Thai-labelled version.
  • Elasty Filler is a medical device, assessed and injected by a licensed doctor.
  • The Elasty name is also used for other Dongbang Medical products: absorbable threads, mesotherapy devices and cosmetics. The injectable HA filler in models F, D and G is a separate item from those.

Elasty's PNET technology

The maker says Elasty uses PNET (Preserved Natural Entanglement Technology), cross-linking with a small amount of BDDE and washing out residues in two steps.

The maker divides the range into three textures with different properties, so the doctor can match them to the area treated, such as the forehead, nose and lips.

Models F, D, G and what the box prints

The boxes come in three colours: model G is black, model D is teal and model F is yellow. Every box prints ELASTY, "Sterile Absorbable Intradermal Viscoelastic Dermal Filler", 1.1 mL and a 27G 1/2 inch needle.

The doctor chooses the model that suits each case. Details of use for each model are in the leaflet inside the box.

The maker and its quality standards

Dongbang Medical Co., Ltd. has its office in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. The maker translates the Elasty brand name as "Recovery of Elasticity".

The maker's safety page says all its products are held to KGMP, ISO, MFDS, CE and FDA quality criteria, as stated by the maker.

Who injects it, and the risks to know

The US FDA advises having filler injected by a licensed, experienced provider who has trained in filler injection, and never doing it yourself, since it is a medical procedure.

After filler, the US FDA counts bruising, redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, itching and rash as common. Lumps under the skin, infection and allergy come less often. Injection into a blood vessel is the very rare serious event, and it may cause tissue death, vision problems or stroke.

Before injection, tell the doctor if your skin is inflamed or infected, if you bleed easily, have a severe allergy or tend to form raised scars, or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Share your allergy history, the medicines you take and any earlier injections too, so the doctor can assess you individually.

Unusual pain, any change in vision, or skin at the injection site that goes pale, grey or bluish means you should see a doctor right away.

Frequently asked questions

What is a cross-linked HA filler?

It is a gel made from hyaluronic acid (HA), a substance the body produces naturally, with the HA molecules linked together into a gel. A 2024 review in Polymers says the HA in most fillers comes from microbial fermentation and is then cross-linked to withstand enzymes. Elasty's own method is the PNET technology the maker describes.

Is Elasty Filler good?

Elasty Filler is made by Dongbang Medical of South Korea and comes in models F, D and G. Whether it suits you is for the injecting doctor to judge from your health history and goals.

Is Elasty Filler dangerous?

A filler from any brand carries some risk, and Elasty is no exception, which is why a licensed doctor should assess your risks and do the injecting.

How many cc is one Elasty Filler syringe?

One syringe holds 1.1 mL (cc), as printed on the box. The amount used and the number of syringes are decided by the injecting doctor for each case.

How long does Elasty filler last?

There is no fixed figure for Elasty. The US FDA says only that the HA in some fillers is gradually broken down by the body, and the real duration depends on the area and the person. The injecting doctor explains it for your case.

How much is Elasty Filler, Korean HA Filler?

The price depends on the model and the quantity.
