What is Neuramis?

Neuramis is a cross-linked hyaluronic acid filler from Medytox Inc. in South Korea, supplied as 1.0 mL of gel per syringe. This listing is the import label.

In short

  • Four models are offered in the product options: Light Lidocaine, Lidocaine, Deep Lidocaine and Volume Lidocaine. All contain lidocaine, as Medytox states.
  • The e-label for Neuramis Light Lidocaine says one carton holds one glass syringe and one needle in a blister pack. The product is single use and is discarded after use.
  • It differs from Neuramis Deep and Neuramis Volume with the Thai label (อย.ไทย), which are separate Medytox listings.

Medytox and the Neuramis range

Medytox Inc. is a South Korean company with plants in Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do. It classes this product group as a tissue recovering biomaterial.

The Neuramis name covers several Medytox models.

How the Neuramis models differ: the skin layer they are designed for

According to Medytox's Neuramis page, the four models differ in the layer of skin they are designed to be injected into. Light Lidocaine is the shallowest, designed for intradermal injection. Lidocaine is designed for intradermal or subcutaneous injection.

Deep Lidocaine and Volume Lidocaine are designed for subcutaneous injection. The doctor assesses which model suits the area and skin of each person.

What to tell the doctor before injection

The U.S. FDA calls filler injection a medical procedure, not a cosmetic treatment, and advises against injecting it yourself.

Tell the doctor about allergies to any ingredient, to products made by bacterial fermentation, and to amide-type local anaesthetics such as lidocaine. Also mention infection or inflamed skin at the site, pregnancy or breastfeeding, medicines and supplements, and earlier fillers.

The FDA says the main serious risk of fillers is unintended injection into a blood vessel, which can cause tissue death, vision problems or stroke. Choose a doctor experienced in dermatology or plastic surgery, and contact the treating doctor straight away if anything unusual happens after treatment.

Frequently asked questions

Is Neuramis filler good?

Whether it suits a particular person is for the injecting doctor to judge from the area, skin and health history, and to explain at the consultation.

What is the lidocaine in Neuramis?

Lidocaine is an amide-type local anaesthetic. All four models in this listing contain it, as Medytox states. Anyone allergic to this class of anaesthetic should tell the doctor before injection.

Can I buy Neuramis and inject it myself?

No. A licensed doctor assesses and injects it, and buyers should not inject it themselves.

How many cc is one Neuramis syringe?

One syringe holds 1.0 mL (1 cc).

How much is Neuramis?

The price depends on the model and the quantity.
